At The Westgate School, we believe in providing our students with the best opportunities to succeed in their future careers. That's why we place a strong emphasis on employer engagement in our careers education programme.

Information For Employers
We are eager to collaborate with businesses and employers, as well as alumni to assist us in informing and educating students about both local and national employment opportunities. This aligns directly with Gatsby Benchmark 5 – Encounters with Employees and Employers, as well as Gatsby Benchmark 6 – Experience of Workplaces. We offer numerous avenues for businesses to engage with students, including our annual Careers Fair held in February each year, careers workshops, assemblies, business insight days, and integration within the curriculum.

Our School Careers Fair 2024
We're thrilled to announce that another fantastic Careers Fair has come to a close at The Westgate School! Our annual event, held every February, was a resounding success, providing students with invaluable insights and opportunities for their future careers.
At this year's Careers Fair, students had the chance to:
- Explore a Variety of Career Paths: From technology to healthcare, finance to the arts, our fair featured representatives from diverse industries, giving students a comprehensive look at their potential career options.
- Connect with Industry Professionals: Students engaged in meaningful conversations with professionals who shared their experiences, expertise, and advice. These interactions provided valuable insights into the realities of different professions and inspired our students to pursue their passions.
- Expand Their Networks: Building these connections is essential for future career success, and our fair provided the perfect platform for students to start cultivating their professional networks.
