📚Celebrating World Book Day🌍
In celebration of World Book Day 2024, all of our students received book tokens which they can exchange for a special World Book Day book or they can use it as a voucher on any other book they might like, ensuring that every student has to opportunity to have a book of their own!
As a fun challenge, students had the opportunity to solve a book cypher set by Ms Mulligan and Mrs Mansbridge in the library. Students decoded the cypher using library books and then solved the riddle the cypher set out. The first ten students to solve the cypher walked away with a mini egg chocolate bar!
Of course, World Book Day is all about celebrating reading, and so we also supported our students in finding the right books for them, acknowledged our reading role models, and read aloud from several books to inspire curiosity over new authors and genres.
